Title: new number for 4z7 907 551 AA changed to 4Z7 997 551 SX
Post by: slowguy on September 29, 2012, 07:22:43 AM
I received an ecu that supposedly came from the Audi dealer. It is supposed to be a replacement for my ecu for 04 A6 2.7t quattro sline. The ecu has the original tag on it and then this other number is on a sticker affixed below that. It also says 0 986 264 331. Does anyone have any info on this number? This is the ecu I am going to start my new-found interest in flashing. It's brand new, APR supposedly coded it, and it too displays the infamous P0601 code - although it does seem to have my IMMO data on it because the immo light does not flash with my key.

997 and sx mean its a remanufactured ecu. according to volkswagen anyways. which basically means its just a replacement after they stopped shipping brand new original part # ecu's.
are you looking for a definition for it? i would imagine its probably pretty inline with your original ecu.

does that help answer your questions?
