Title: K-box xdf source?
Post by: ddillenger on October 07, 2012, 09:48:32 AM
I did a search, no hits. Found references to many others, but no K.

Also, my understanding (forgive me if it is wrong) is that I need an xdf for the architecture of my box. However if I flash to a different version (IE m-box), and want to fiddle with that I need an m-box xdf. Is this correct?

Yes

Thank you!

I take it the reason there is no k-box xdf is because noone keeps the k-box programming, they just flash over it with the more popular m-box.

Wrong. Going from 551K to 551M is a step backwards.
And there is an XDF.

Here's one that I just auto generated.

Usual suspects need fixing (like LAMFA), and because the public 551F map dump lacks some important maps, you will have to find them by hand.

Other than that, it should be decent as a start.

Just read in another thread about your actual ECU number.
Might be a really good idea to post the exact number when asking for a definition...

In your case it is probably better to go to a "G-Box", because there is full and accurate DAMOS for that.
Or M-box.
