Title: First bench flash successful. now I can no longer connect to ecu Post by: n.cunn on October 21, 2012, 08:28:36 PM Hey guys, I've been lurking on here for a while and I though I had a grasp of the basics to be able to flash a fueling adjustment for larger injectors to my ecu. Turns out I still have some learning to do. After flashing my modified .bin I can no longer connect to the ecu with either the nefmoto flashing tool or vcds.
I adjusted krkte from .09768 to .06560, corrected check sums using the mtx tuner pro plugin and then verified no errors in the file using me7 check. everything checked out good so I proceeded to bench flash the file to the ecu. flash took 00:02:57 to complete and I recieved a message stating that writing of flash memory succeeded. wrote 19 of 19 sectors in flash memory. Now when trying to connect with nefmoto flashing tool it fails. the log shows; starting slow init connection. connecting to address 0x01. failed to read sync byte, guessing baud rate is actually 9600. not enough key bytes, read: 0 slow init failed. what the heck did I do wrong? oh and I used memory layout 29f800bb attached is the .bin I flashed as well as the log. I really miss driving my baby so thank you in advance to anyone who can help. With ebay clones at 124800 this happens. |
