Title: Boost question VW Passat B5 1.8t
Post by: anger17 on December 16, 2012, 01:31:32 PM
Hi!
Here is my problem - I can't make boost more than 1750 mBar after 2500 RPM.

I changed only 3 boost maps LDRXN, KFLDHBN, KFMLDMX. Though I didn't change KFMIRL, KFMIOP, KFTARX etc.
Could anyone explain me how to make boost around 2000 mBar?

Bro, you will need to learn a lot more things than these 3 maps... And you WILL HAVE TO change kfmirl/kfmiop

I think I have to change KFMIRL and KFMIOP cause it has only 75% torque request. Am I right?

No, he won't. His KFMIRL already requests close to 200 load which will be more than 2000mbar boost.

Thank you for reply.

I tuned some Audi A4 1.8t and I changed only LDRXN, KFLHDBN, KFDLULS, KFMLDMX and everything was perfect - 2000 mBar.

But that's a different story with Passat...

Could anyone tell me, which exactly map(s) must be changed for 2000mBar?

Is it requesting 2000mbar boost?

Log rlmx_w, rlmax_w, and rlsol_w

That will show you (us) where is it being limited.

Thanx phila_dot) Am I right in understanding I need to use 114 group for logs in VagCOM?

Specified load without correction

Specified load after  correction

Actual load

I would suggest using ME7L or at least ECUx.

If using VCDS, you would need to include block 213 to get rlsol_w.

Is it really that hard to find and change 2 maps which are pretty well described over this forum?

I'm kinda interested in what he changed so that "everything is great now" also.. something map descriptions won't explain but his changed file will.
