Title: 95040 contents changed after flashing?
Post by: ddillenger on December 18, 2012, 06:57:49 AM
I was curious as to what was on a non-immo equipped 95040, so I read it off with argdubs (very usefull) tool. Once before, and once after a flash. After the flash the 95040 file contains a different ECU id, as well as nefmto (x2) towards the bottom. Anyone else encountered this? I was under the impression the 95040 wasn't altered during flashing? Am I mistaken?

Well, that's just what the nefmoto flasher does secretly without telling you...

So it xx's out the vin?

vin is xx because that is from an ecu with no immo.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember seeing all x's on a car with an intact immo as well. I'll have to go take a look..
