Title: immo wow
Post by: mmrkulic on January 23, 2013, 09:12:01 AM
So i bought my wife a 02 passat 2.8 from a auction and it came with 1 valet key so i went out and bought a key fob and got it cut for shits and giggles i tried to start the car and what do you know the car runs and drives but my immo lights flashes in vagcom i tried to adapt new keys and when i change the value i get a error . I tired to use my vag tacho and i get the pin and when i used vag tacho to adapt the key i use the pin it gives me and i get a error pin wrong.

I m guessing the immo delete is not allowing me to adapt the keys properly in vagcom and vagtacho

I read the eeprom and its looks like someone deleted the immo off the ecu now how do i get the the immo light off  or can i restore the immo pin so that i can have a immo and adapt the keys the proper way ? Attached my eeprom file.

no idea whats going on there as bits 12 and 22 are set to 4! immo off should be set to 2 and on set to 1, well on all other files i've seen!

sorry It's new one on me

this guy up here is my cousin funny thing in vagcom it says there are 3 keys programmed and the valet key he has looks brand new and the immo light does not flash you think if we flash ddillenger's basic immo off  it will prevent the immo light from flashing i though the ecu and cluster communicate with each other

Yes.

Anytime the cluster senses a mismatch you're going to get a light. AFAIK.

That's why installing an immobilizer equipped cluster in a non-immobilizer equipped car throws a light.

I don't think that would work, but chances are you could flash a bin from a non-immo cluster into a immo-cluster and disable it that way. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.
