Kolbenmann im not sure if you know this but you can check the immo with vagcom at channel 91.
With my method, the immo off file would look a little different. So please try and report back!

Hello,

we have ME3.8.3 here, its the 24C02 8 pin eprom right, which programer do you use to read/write it, we have the willem here but no suitable socket available ?
I heard that there are programers which can read/write this 24C02 even if they are still on the pcb ?

Thank you

Just one note - you usually have to apply + power to the W pin (write protect).  An unpowered ECU normally holds the line down.  I just jumper power from the + pin to that one.

Isnt there any chance to connect without this adapter, it will take weeks until it will arrive here.
So just soldering the wires direct to the Eeprom and connect it to GQ3X ?

Yes it is possible. Search for the 24c02 in your GQ Software and you will see a small picture where to place the chip and the direction.

Hello,

orderd the stuff from mcumall but when I try to read it, it just reads out zeros.
But I assume its corrected ok because when I completely remove it then it just reads zero.

Anybody met this before ?

Which maps have you change on the M3.8.2 to deactivate immo?

You need to pull the contents of the eeprom. This is NOT the same as the flash memory containing the maps.
