Title: This is what I get for trying to be helpful.
Post by: ddillenger on February 10, 2013, 07:49:23 AM
Excerpt from an AZ private message:

I was wondering if you know how to change the milage on a B5 s4 cluster with immo. I can change the pre face lift without immo , but I have a face lift with too many miles on it no ones interested in it. If you know how and can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it greatly and can compensate you for your time.

Thanks, (name redacted)

There's a chance he's trying to sell a facelift cluster, not a car. If that's the case I'll help him, but only after confirming he isn't selling a car.

Yikes, I would stay far away.
Gotta be laws, in or out of the car. Mail, state lines, national borders, state police, f'n FBI, Interpol, lol!
Could potentially piss a lot of people off. I might just tell him to get a vc cable and hope they didnt consider me an accessory.

I haven't seen any clusters in the B5 or B6 section for sale that are not already virginized.

someone hit me up on gchat one day wanting to know if i could edit the mileage on his tt.
he said something to the effect of it wasnt fair for his car to be sold/devalued as a high mileage car because he never beats on it so its not really worn out.
something that was just so  ::), but he was serious.
