Title: RS4 B7 Kompressor: problem with ignition advance
Post by: s-company on February 15, 2013, 05:12:06 PM
Hello!
i have to solve very tricky thing.
i made remap for rs4 b7 kompressor, car runs very fine, but there is space for more advande ignition.

the thing is, a stock rs4 makes 40 degree (full load) advande without problems, with kompressor, the car only makes 25 degree. you can write adavnce values as high as  you want in the kfzw maps, the actual real ignition angle is ALWAYS nearly same low. there must be some correction because of high airmass, i dont have another explanation, but why?
also there is absolutely no knock retard, sometimes with low rpm, 0,5-1,5 degree retard, but high load nothing.

any ideas for this?

many many thanks for every input!

BR

hello!
here is the ori.
changes with KFZW's does not work (1cb530-1ccbb0)
also KFZWMN, KFZWMS and KFZWOP makes no sense to tune for my opinion...

seems to be that some other maps are blocking ignition advance..

thanks.

hello,
attched my logs.
but only air mass, ignition angle and load.
i didn't log 20 and 31 because there is no ignition retard and lambda is good (full load 0,8-0,84)

Can you log block 211 and 142?

Do you have any fault conditions?

ok i can log these blocks.
no there are no faults...

just to clarify, have you turned any faults off?

You have access to a correct damos for this ECU? First guess would be that it is not KFZW you are tuning. Have you checked with idapro?

i have no damos, i think its hard to get, but i am 100% sure kfzw's are at 1cb530-1ccbb0...

You might want to look at the file before making statements like the one you did above... The area s-company has posted does correspont to all the kfzw maps.

Intake tumbler flaps have been removed from the car? the system has an error on it.

Why is there a difference in the 2 air flow numbers? what boost are you running? I fail to believe its >1.5 bar.

It seems you have atleast 2 error conditions being set.

yes they are removed.. (makes not more ignition advance if it is not removed)
the boost is just a calculated value, car has no pressure sensor... no rs4 b7 do have a pressure sensor..

So when I asked you about error conditions, u chose to ignore this?

the boost is just a calculated value, car has no pressure sensor... no rs4 b7 do have a pressure sensor..

Im very well aware of what it is, it is calculated manifold pressure.

I cant help if the information that I ask for is only what you think I want to know....

I have to ask you again..
Do you have any logs for knock,lamda,injectors,pumps,torque... ????

Please don't post excel files. They're useless.

Post the original csvs and/or images outputted from ECUxPlot
