Title: Check my tune: 06A906032HN ECO mods and more
Post by: lezsi on February 20, 2013, 06:23:46 AM
Hi!

I've put together some ECO mods into the attached file for a nearly stock 2001 Leon 1.8T 180HP (wideband)
Things changed so far:

ESKONF @ 10C4F   output config   5. byte =248 -> 255, 6. byte =48 -> 60  / disable SAI output diags
CWKONABG @ 181B9   Codewort für Konfiguration Abgasbehandlung (1x1)     -> 0 / no SAI, no CAT
CDSLS @ 181B0   Euro-Byte für Diagnose Sekundärluft-System (1x1)     -> 0 / disable SAI diag
KFMRES @ 1143B   LLR: Basis Momentenreserve im LL und ll-nahem Bereich (4x6)     -> 0 / no need for torque reserve at idle
FKHABMN_0_A @ 1D4FC   Schwelle Abregelfaktor Katheizen (1x1)     -> 0 / disable cat heating , wobbling around idle
FKHABMN_1_A @ 1D4FD   Schwelle Abregelfaktor Katheizen     -> 0 / disable cat heating , wobbling around idle

Check it and tell your thoughts! It is my first attempt with ME7.5 so be gentle! ;)

Thanks

why would you reduce idle torque reserves? What's going to happen when you turn the steering wheel or the alternator puts a load on the engine?

I hate to see the engine is running on zero ignition advance all the time, wasting a lot of power. I expect slightly better fuel economy from this mod.
Honestly I can't really tell the difference from stock reserve when moving the steering wheel, switching on a bunch of electrics, or doing anything with the car.

Unless you spend significant time in idle (hours a day) I do not think it will affect fuel consumption very much.

Sometimes I stuck in the traffic jams. - But I don't expect wonders here of course.

Looks good otherwise?  I'm using this bin for a few days now, seems OK.
