Title: Cluster immo light off?? Post by: Vdub-dub on March 02, 2013, 10:29:09 AM Basic story mk1 golf with 1.8t and golf4 clusters so running without immo active ( defeated via 95040) but is there any way to stop the key light and "immo active" in display, pulled the cluster EEPROM with vag tacho (motometer cluster)
Title: Re: Cluster immo light off?? Post by: ddillenger on March 02, 2013, 10:48:05 AM Reactivate the immobilizer, match the key, then defeat it again. If the key doesn't match the cluster, you get the light. Or desolder the LED for the light. Your choice.

Post by: Vdub-dub on March 02, 2013, 03:25:40 PM The problem there is mk1 golf which it is fitted in now doesn't have any ignition barrel coil to pick up the key (or even a key with chip) alot to try get hold of and also wiring in and fit just to deactivate the light .
And if desolder or block the led immo light still have display flashing "immo active" and chime active Is there no way to edit the EEPROM just to simply switch it off ? Post by: Vdub-dub on March 03, 2013, 12:41:17 PM Update : closest I can get is with vag tacho and using another car (mk4 golf) just to program the clusters is program 'new key' set it to 0 new keys but must have a working key ????? Don't know why need a key to program no keys in strange ?
When programed stuck them back in mk1golf without the key, just get immo key symbol flashing which can be easily blocked or desolder without display showing immo activated and constant chime, Title: Re: Cluster immo light off??
