Title: BAM ME7.5
Post by: aaronritchie on March 07, 2013, 10:54:02 AM
Hi ,i have a BAM cupra with stage 1 map. My mate has just bought one with a bam engine and he wants me to try my map on his. Although the part numbers are the same for the ecu mine is software version 0001 and his version 0002.  Can i still flash my version onto his ecu or is the memory layout different.  Thanks.

Yes. Assuming the vag numbers are the same, the flash will crossload.

HOWEVER. The flash may be locked to the eeprom, depending on the tuner. That, and this kind of thing is frowned upon (unless you did the tuning yourself that is)

Thanks ,no the map was done by myself and i can read the stock file from the 0002 version.  When flashing with nefmoto do i use the same memory layout for both versions ?  Thanks.

Love it... You've created a stage 1 map yet don't know if its compatible with another ecu or what memory layout to use...

In answer to all your questions... yes... Your stage 1 map will work perfectly well on a version 001 or 002.. as the ECU will be identical.. as for the memory layout, they will be the same....
