Title: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 17, 2013, 12:27:40 PM Hello guys,
I would like to ask for a favor. I bought myself an Audi A3 1.8T from 2000 and I am not sure if it is chituned. As a starting point to play around with it I'd like to have the latest original software on it. How can I figure out, if it is stock software? It identifies as 06A906032AS in Version 0004. I dumped the software and attached it. Could somebody check it for me? Or if it is simplier give me a stock file in version 0004 or newer? Thanks. Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? thanks for the info and checking my file. :-) Do you know if it is the newest version for this engine? Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: vagenwerk on March 18, 2013, 12:01:46 PM Do you have map pack for this file ?
Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 18, 2013, 12:24:07 PM Sorry,
unfortuately I do not have. I tried the last hours to make a xdf-file for it by modifing from another 1,8t model, but I failed. The differences seem to big for me. I used this one "Sander_AUDI_TT_2001_224hp_Q" from this forum, because there an xdf exists from another member. But I am beginner. Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? I have to learn a lot and actually I am fighting with this .dam files...But playing with this stuff is fun :-) By the way, from what I see at the moment: The 8N0906018S ATC 180hp and my 06A906032AS ARZ150HP seem to be very similar. ATC has more power, some map adresses differ a little bit, but from what I see is the main difference between this engines only the LDRXN-map. The ATC also seems to habe the KKK K03 loader. Would it be possible to copy that LDRXN-map into my 06A906032AS file, correct chechsums, flash it and enjoy 30hp more in my car? Does abody know more differences? I did an error with the damos import, but now it looks good! :-) thank you!!! Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 20, 2013, 01:40:57 PM Okay guys,
thanks for your help. I was able to open, check, compare and modify my file with others. perfect :-) By doing this I got an idea. The ARZ 150HP and ATC 180HP engine seem to be very similar. So I decided to compare both files and the only difference I found where the maps for LDRXN and LDRXNZK. From my research the turbochargers seem to be the same...KKK K03. So I copied the ATC maps for maximum specified load into my ARZ file and corrected checksums. It will be tested tomorrow on my car. The resulting file comes here. Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: vagenwerk on March 20, 2013, 02:24:55 PM Good start with tuning. But be aware of potential risks. So log CR (knock sensors) , fuel trims, boost and the rest.
You should also copy the fuel maps- kflbts , kfddlbts maps which, because 180hp maps would be different as usual. Also you should check afr using wideband lambda to make sure that you aren't run lean. Good luck Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 21, 2013, 02:15:51 AM Hi,
I followed gregor10's hint and he was right, there where als differences in kflbts , kfddlbts maps. Here comes the fix. Test in Germany is delayed because of snow and summer tires .... ::) Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 24, 2013, 05:22:47 AM Okay, update,
waether is better and test is done. Software-mod to 180HP runs good, but on high load at 180km/h there is a slight power drop. I flashed back to stock-rom, same problem.... I think that MAF-sensor is faulty, because on full pull it only goes to 105 g/s. I ordered a new one, we will see if it solves the problem. I will go on with testing, if this problem is solved. Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: vdubnation on March 26, 2013, 07:09:44 AM try to run it with the maf unplugged and see if it comes up
Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 26, 2013, 12:45:51 PM I think there is more going on in that engine... I yust bought it and I want to fix it properly before I will go in with testing the software-mod. It throws Lamda-Error, I replaced Lambda-Sensor already. There was also a broken tube. Still Lambda error and very low MAF-values. Tomorrow I will install a new MAF-Sensor because the sensor plate looks very bad. And because of the lean mixture and resulting high EGT , no the exhaust manifault is cracked :-\
I will report next week, after I finished the repairs. Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: vagenwerk on March 27, 2013, 04:33:29 PM 150hp maf should read 125g-135/s, 180hp maf reads 149-155g/s so yours is dead.
Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on March 29, 2013, 05:58:37 AM Update....
new MAF installed, car runs better, but not perfect. MAF values are okay now, but still lambda error under load (it runs lean). Sensor is okay and idle also. I did a pressure check with 1.5 bar on the boost system. Found 2 leaks ... intake manifold-gasket and tubing to the breake-system There is also a pneumatic boost valve, which is leaking... I will report, when the repairs are done... Almost an engine overhaul :-) Yogi Title: Re: Is this dump original??? Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: cocktailyogi on April 06, 2013, 12:40:28 AM Hi, now I am making progress.
Now I fixed my leaks, replaced the boost valve and the blown exhaust manifold seals. Now car runs perfect, Lambda-values are okay, no knocking under high loads, boost control works perfect. At this starting point I installed the modded file on ME7.5 with the 180HP TT-mapping. It runs perfect. Car drives much better and no problems under high load. no kocking and it doesn't go lean. boost is stable in MWB 115 So much power in a small car like this is perfect. :-) ;D ;D ;D Thanks for your help everybody! Audi A3 1.8T ARZ 06A906032AS Post by: Patryk619 on April 04, 2018, 06:54:43 AM I'm sorry for reviving the thread, but I have a question regarding the file attached in this post http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3472.0;attach=5782
Can I Flash this into my stock ARZ ecu and enjoy extra 30hp? Will it Flash and start with no problems? The author stated it worked just fine for him(the above post), I have even contacted him to ask for permision to use this but it seems he not visited the forum since December 2017. |
