Title: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: tbm on April 05, 2013, 12:35:47 PM Hi Guys,
I use cable with FTDI chipset and NefMoto Flasher but when I try to read flash from me stock ME7.5 ECU (bench reading) I faced with the bellow error: 05.апр.2013 12:49:24.601: LOG: Failed to send message 3 times, message send failed. 05.апр.2013 12:49:24.611: USER: Disconnecting because no response was received for the Tester Present message. I used 29F800 memory layout as well. Could someone advise I can read flash with this cable and the software? If yes, what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance! Detailed log attached. As far as I understood fast init is commercial feature so I used slow. I have Skoda 1U RS.Title: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: David_8 on July 18, 2013, 08:46:26 AM This is the same car and same problem I'm having.

Also I found that my USB cable wasn't working properly. Check this one. What the tester present error all about ??? Title: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: tbm on July 19, 2013, 01:15:38 AM Is it getting minimal power to the ecu? What are the charger settings? To work properly you can use voltage 10V.Title: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: hello on July 20, 2013, 09:19:26 AM To work properly you can use voltage 10V. Doubt that. My voltage dropped to flat 12v and I got an error during flash. Bumped it up a little and reflashed with out an error. Well I never tried at 10v so I wouldn't know. Title: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: David_8 on July 21, 2013, 03:41:23 AM Voltage ???
Care to explain, battery ??? Or a setting in the software ?? I'm confused lol Title: Re: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: UrbanAssaultar on July 21, 2013, 04:41:37 AM Battery voltage needs to be maintained @ 12-14 volts while flashing.
Title: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: David_8 on July 21, 2013, 06:01:51 AM Ah right, thats normal then.
I still can't get any info off or on the chip !!! When I flashing my ECU on brach I use old battery from UPS with about 11V. And I hadn't any errors only warning about low voltage.Title: Re: Re: error during reading flash with nefmoto flasher Post by: userpike on July 21, 2013, 04:08:57 PM When I flashing my ECU on brach I use old battery from UPS with about 11V.
