Title: ecu part number swap info Post by: coreyj03 on April 16, 2013, 07:45:47 AM just sharing what i have found, i can flash 1.8t file to vw 06a 906 032 2.slow ecms and they will run 1.8t and function as 1.8t. and vise versa . have not tried 2.7 ecms due to having narrow band or any v6 ecms to 1.8t, but i know the passats with 4d0 ecms will run off a 06a ecm with 1.8t software.
i think as long as it has drive by wire and wide band o2 they can interchange with immobilizer defeat. this may make cheaper options to acquire ecus because 2.0 ecms are really cheap and abundant.
