Title: Different limiters in each gear.....6.1k in 4th :(
Post by: mRj on April 25, 2013, 01:17:24 AM
Hi

My Seat Leon 1.8T AUQ has a remap on, but now i notice that in 4th gear my limiter hits at 6.1k, although my cars rev limiter is set to 7.1k.

Also 5th gear loses all power/boost and wont go again till i take out of gear and put back in.  I did think throttle cut, but no errors on ECU.

Can anyone help?

Help with?

Post your file or ask the tuner which you payd for this tune.

what would cause it, could it be the torque limiters for each gear?

There is a gear based torque limit map KFMDBGRG, but it limits kfmiop not rpm.

ok

also im not sure if this happened since i added in the launch control.

i will test tonight by removing the launch control.

has anyone seen this happen before on a 1.8t?

Could it be a speed limiter instead of rev/torque. Surely not, but just making sure the small things aren't overlooked.

hi im fairly new to tuning these (know a lot about ms41.0 lol)

what is the map name for speedlimiter?

No, it limits spec load via milsol.

Hi

I was going on the FR and I dont doubt your knowledge Phil , the table is 0-100 so how can it limit spec load as a %?
I have never used I will add but just added it to my mappack after reading FR as i thought it sounded worth testing.

KFMDBGRG
Kennfeld mit dem Wert der Momentenbegrenzung
Map the value of the torque limit

Look at %MDKOL -> %MDFUE

It limits the input to KFMIRL

I must be missing something or having a bad day.

Kfmdbgrg output is mibgr_w
I see no mention Mdkol or mdfue

What I
Missed?

They are functions

They are functions

More specifically, the FR is organized by functions. The TOC in the PDF consists of the list of functions.

all sorted, was the launch control i edited.

could it of been
Quote
DNMAXH         (16304)     This is the RPM above rev limit when the fuel cut comes on. Tweaking this helps make more boost on the limiter. I use 50 RPM  (Keep in mind the maximum RPM limit is NMAXOG + DNMAXH)
causing it?

I know they are functions, ipad auto correct, it missed "in"

I was trying to say I see no mention of KFMDBGRG in either function and I still don't, let alone showing milsol is the output..

i also noticed that ,
sometimes when set lc rpm limiter(soft without spark cut) works good, but sometimes , 1- 2 gears works perfect but on 3 gear hit cut off about 6300rpm - strange think, probably i messed sth , because , when i set it from stock file works good :)

What you set nmax and nmaxog too?

MDBGRG
- KFMDBGRG outputs mibgr_w
- mibgr_w goes into a min function with a bunch of other potential limiters
- The output of the min function and entire MDBGRG function is mibgrl_w a limiter for intervention in MDKOL

MDKOL
- mibgrl_w goes into a min function which outputs milsolv_w
- milsolv_w goes into another min with miszull_w or MDIMX depending on application and conditions outputting milsol_w
- MDKOL function output is milsol_w for MDFUE

MDFUE
- milsol_w is corrected for lambda 1 and optimum igniton angle and input to KFMIRL for desired load

Cheers for taking the time to explain it, appreciate you didn't have to, so thank you. I will look at the fr and follow it through to understand it fully. Today is a learning day .
