Title: Bensh flashing ME7.5
Post by: papasound on April 26, 2013, 06:47:28 AM
Hi i have done everything as shown here
http://www.nefariousmotorsports.com/wiki/index.php/ECU_Bench_Flashing
except i put 1k ohm resistor on pin 24, and 5k ohm resistor for touching pin 24 on F800BB,
I just cant find out where is the ignition switch, which pin should be fed with what?

so presumably it should be connected to 12v+ all the time, or after power on and some time after?

many leave it powered all the time along with 62 & 21, I had to install a switch on pin 3 to get mine (me7.1) into bootmode.

Thanks for your replies, and i got another question. I unsoldered 5040 and put bin with immo off, do i still need to power pin 21 with 12v+?

After so many unsuccessful tries i finally got it into boot mode:

Put 2k ohm resistor for pin 21
power on,
ground pin 24 on chip,
ignition on,
after 10 seconds release ground from chip,
try to communicate, fail,
ignition off,
10-20 seconds wait,
ground pin 24 on chip,
ignition on,
after 10 seconds release ground from chip,
try to communicate, success,
power off.

I have Infinion cpu and only that dance saved my day.
Boot mode flashing took about half minute using eobd2Flash cable
with FT232R chip and fresh drivers from http://www.fgtechnology.eu/
