Title: MLHFM copied from TT225 and wierd g/s readings Post by: userpike on June 25, 2013, 12:29:21 PM I copied the MLHFM table from TT225 because I'm using the MAF housing from one. I logged g/s...I get a max of 133g/s on a WOT run....When I had the stock MAF housing and stock MLHFM table I could log anywhere between 190g/s and 206g/s on a WOT run. ( I expected a higher g/s reading because I upgraded the turbo so it should be making more power, it feels like its faster atleast..)
What am I missing here? I thought if changing only the housing all you needed to do was copy MLHFM for that housing. ??? Title: Re: MLHFM copied from TT225 and wierd g/s readings Post by: bk56190 on June 25, 2013, 12:46:53 PM Do you only use the MAF housing or housing + sensor from TT 225 ?

From what I've read, you can do either. The easy way by just changing out the housing and only changing MLHFM. If you change the sensor also, more maps need to be changed over. Title: Re: MLHFM copied from TT225 and wierd g/s readings Post by: bk56190 on June 25, 2013, 01:20:25 PM IMO if you change the housing, you have to scale by a fixed percentage all values where percentage is the area difference of new maf case / old maf case.
If you change the housing + the sensor, you have to copy MLHFM / KFKHFM tables. Title: Re: MLHFM copied from TT225 and wierd g/s readings Post by: userpike on June 25, 2013, 01:23:17 PM there are other maps to change. if you search MLHFM you'll find a thread with all of them.
I only changed the MAF housing. so only need to change MLHFM from what I understand. Unless I get the dtc for "too hi MAF signal", then rescale the other map you posted. MLHFM is the map you scale for a larger housing. Since I'm using a MAF housing from an Audi TT225 I'm using the MLHFM map from the 225TT also. I would assume that MLHFM curve fits only for that sensor in that housing. Maybe the sensor you are using in the TT225 housing is not the same as the one used originally by the TT225 Title: Re: MLHFM copied from TT225 and wierd g/s readings Post by: userpike on June 25, 2013, 04:50:36 PM Are the sensors the same? I'm using the stock sensor for my car and the 225TT housing. I think I see what you and BK were getting at here. Hopefully someone chimes in with some confirmation.I would assume that MLHFM curve fits only for that sensor in that housing. Title: Re: MLHFM copied from TT225 and wierd g/s readings Post by: ddillenger on June 26, 2013, 03:18:21 PM This is easy stuff
Get a log with your stock housing. Put your sensor into the larger housing. Adjust MLHFM until g/s is the same at a given RPM/load.
