Title: ECU reports security access request was rejected? Post by: Daviddoesntgaf on June 25, 2013, 04:18:21 PM Seems like every step of the way I've had problems trying to flash my ECU.
I can connect to my ECU to me7 but once I try to do anything, read flash, write flash, log it always gets stuck at "negotiating communication timings" Title: Re: ECU reports security access request was rejected? Post by: ddillenger on June 25, 2013, 04:19:32 PM Lower your baud rate.

Title: Re: ECU reports security access request was rejected? Post by: ddillenger on June 25, 2013, 05:36:57 PM You're fine. Just DO NOT TURN THE KEY OFF! Leave it on, restart the computer, and then flash with nefmoto again. Make sure you don't interupt power until the flash has completed.
If you turned the key off, you need bootmode. Also, make sure to leave a battery charger on the car when flashing. Title: Re: ECU reports security access request was rejected? Go and find yourself a Galleto. Even if you were lucky this time, you will need it in the future if you brick the ECU. That and check out the bench harness thread and put one together. These are two crucial pieces of equipment for flashing IMHO... Good luck. If I was in your area I would help. |
