Title: cluster messages
Post by: jamie16v on June 27, 2013, 06:21:22 PM
is there, or does anybody know a way to change what the messages say in the clusters?
there must be a way  :P
like change "please refuel" to "Feed me" or something more rediculous.
if your`re gonna ask why, it`s because i could if it were possible!

i have vag tacho and immo3 clusters,i have edited the dump previously to enable lit needles etc.

I'm also very interested in this.  I haven't really found any info.  I'm also interested in finding out how the ECU sends MPG data to the cluster (i'd love to make the ECU send Boost Pressure instead and display that on the MFA display)

now that`d be interesting  ;D there were modules you could buy to convert it to do such.
not sure if they are about anymore but were expensive :P

Just because something is available, in a much less desirable form, doesn't mean that there's no point in finding a different, better way, to accomplish the same.

in all respect his work is pretty damn good ;). but you`d have to be either rich or stupid to be able to afford it.

I am familiar with him and appreciate and respect his work greatly.

That doesn't stop innovation however.
