Title: 8E0909518AK XDF Confirmation
Post by: BlkSerialKilla on July 11, 2013, 05:47:23 PM
Hey everyone I had previously posted and haven't gotten much feedback I may have posted in the wrong area before and made too long of a post introducing myself. Regardless I have an updated xdf for my Audi A4 B6 1.8t 6 Speed MT bin (8E0909518AK 0261208230 369307). This bin is supplemental to the one I had tried to build a little bit ago. Significantly more tables defined.

Please if you download the file could anyone please confirm I have both  KFZW / 2 , and KFZWOP /2 correct? Also there were alot of 16x11 tables I found manually that fit a data set, and I've been trying to figure out if these are ignition tables as well does anyone know what these tables could be?

In the xdf the tables with an asterisk (*) in the beginning are highly suspect so anyone with good info please post I have the aptitude to learn and have the necessary tools to do maps and checksums as well. Check out my post in tune requests as I posted a test bin with correct checksums that has a slight increase in load tables. This will also provide a bin for which you could look at and compare this xdf and confirm whats going on here is indeed sanely mapped out.

I updated this post for SW0003 / 8E0909518AK_0261208230_368072

KFZW 12873
KFZW2 12927
KFZWOP 11C2C
KFZWOP2 11CDC

KFZW axis:

x 138E4
y 1398C

ZWOP axis:

Y 138E4

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks! I was able to load the offsets for the kfzwop(s) appropriately however I was concerned with the axis data for kfzw /2 though. In winols the offsets appear to be fitting for 16 bit low/high instead of 8 bit.

I have the correct factors for each axis( %, 0.75x & rpm,40*x respectively) but the numbers are extremely large in 16 bit for the axis labels though; 8 bit view looks off as well too.

I attached a picture of what I'm seeing in winols with 16 bit low/high active as well as in tuner-pro with 8 bit axis before and after with loaded offsets.

Thanks again I've been spending most of my free time trying to get this right and you saved me plenty of time finding these ofsets!

I found my error I had incorrect factors for rpm and load, everything lines up!

Is there a method to find 1x1 values in my AK file? I've tried looking at multiple xdfs to find possible offsets but to no avail. I'm looking for KRKTE and LAMFAW. For example I used algebra and a known value for KRKTE for my 1.8t with 282cc injectors to figure out what the 16b bit low/high value would be, result ended up being (decimal 933).

I tried searching for this value in winols within plus or minus 2 points and got a hand full (4-6) different results I'm not exactly certain if I am even searching for this correctly the offsets seem far off of what other xdfs have theirs as. I am tempted to look into this binary with ida but I am not sure of the disassembly (I have disassembled the file using Andy Whittaker's Process) and I am open to learning how different scalars are loaded so I can get all the 1x1s I can access. Any guidance would be appreciated, and thanks.

KRKTE 1F82A

I'll take a look for CWLAMFAW when I get a chance :P

I am following back up on KRKTE, I noticed that everyone else has decimal values lower than 1 for KRKTE after taking a look at another AK xdf I was concerned that my location may be different. I have tried to find another plausable location but have failed. Would you know where I can locate this value? Thank You  :)

1FA14 in your file.

There are more than one version of each software. The only way to get real answers is to post your (original) file.

Thank you!  :D  I am posting my original as well, I used this software contrary to what was on the ecu from manufacturer since at the time there appeared to be more starter* xdfs for it to learn from ; may I ask how you were able to determine the location? Scalars are the hardest for me to find out.

You must look at the hex compared to a file you know the location. Patterns will emerge!

BlkSerialKilla, check out your definition for KFDPVL.  This is the information that I found while working on 5120 hack for 518AK ecu.

Awesome! Yes I noticed your post about the 5120 hack and your finding were very helpful as well as integrated into what I have here :)

Attached updated xdf for anyone looking as well; if anyone sees something out of place please update and post back please; I'm looking forward to pay it forward

BlkSerialKilla:

Thanks for this. I'm finding it very handy today! Any parameters not working right in this xdf, or are they all confirmed good to go with your binary?

There are a few tables that are off but are easy to identify when looked at through graphs. Supplementing that there is another xdf I posted that is more up to date as well ; I forgot where I posted it at the moment. If you discover more tables post back :)

Post your file.
Can you enable launch control for me, and increase turbo pressure a little in this file for me?

Daz has not been with us for 10 years now, and I'm sure a comment he made 10 years ago was not an open invite to hijack someone's thread and beg for handouts. Begging for ecu mods is not tolerated here, this is a diy site. Also, make a new thread, do not post on someone else's when what you are posting has nothing to do with the thread topic. Why are you double posting?? Breaking multiple forum rules, don't be surprised if you find yourself booted.

I'm sorry, I'm still learning how the rules work here, it won't happen again.
