Title: P1681 error code 04-A6 tip AA-box
Post by: harorider95 on July 16, 2013, 10:27:13 PM
I altered my stock bin by changing the CDKAT changed from 1.00  (0x01) to 0.00  (0x00)
I am Able to connect no problem with KWP2000 but cannot connect in boot mode.
I have tried to read and disconnect ,nothing. Full write flash in car nothing.
Cant bench flash because I cant enter boot mode to disable the immobilizer that is a perquisite I haven't met.
I believe I reinstalled my stock tune because when I read it and run it through me7check it shows no errors.

What can I do to enter boot mode? I've grounded pin 24 multiple times with no success. Galletto wont work at all either

Thanks-Mike
log file included

Flash the 4Z7907551R file to your ecu. Compatible, and doesn't suffer from the same quirks as the AA and S binaries.

The car doesn't start only turns over ,is this a problem.  I think the immobilizer might be affecting this. Thanks-Mike

You are grounding this pin, correct?

Nefmoto doesn't flash in bootmode. You're aware of that right?

Sorry what I meant to say was that it wont enter boot mode so I can disable the immobilizer.

I have a bench rig set-up with a switch on the 3 line of the Ecu. I don't however have any resistors in place can that restrict me from gaining access to boot mode? Should I try older software? Different plug? Any one on here could drop me an offer $$ to defeat the immobilizer. Thanks in advance -Mike

Are you grounding the pin before you turn on the power supply?

Yes I hold pin 24 on the ground for about 1 second before and 2-3 seconds after

video  shows me trying to connect in bootmode.
Thanks-Mike

I hooked it up to the car and validated the flash also check if flash matches, Everything was okay.
Then I attempted to write the flash again it succeeded at 100% but car still wont start?
I have attached the log file I switched from nefmoto version 1.9 back to 1.8 so I could validate flash.-Thanks Mike
I have the stock tune installed, why wont my car start? Is it due to the immobilizer or error code p1681?
I still cant get my 7.1.1 into bootmode!

Listen guy. USE THE 4Z7907551R FLASH ON YOUR ECU!!!!!

The 551AA and 551S do this EVERY TIME!

I told you this several posts up!

Functionally they are the same. The 551AA is just newer, and the 551S is the newest of all IIRC. They ALWAYS get this error when you write them back using nefmoto.

The 551R always does.

One trick to the 551AA/S is to do a full read after flashing, then hit disconnect. Sometimes this is enough to clear the "Programming not finished" DTC. Most of the time it isn't though. Just attempting to read these can cause this.
