Title: Newbs Post by: The Toto on July 18, 2013, 07:19:18 PM Hey everyone,
I have been lurking here for a while now trying to pull info and such. My ultimate goal was to learn about the basics of chip tuning, and emissions readiness codes. Alas, I could not find the information I needed in time, so I'm going to have to drop the coin and get the Eurodyne Suite. I thought I might be able to help the next guy out by linking all of the information I've found all in one place. I would like for this to turn into something that could help new tuners. Somewhat of a newb FAQ or a beginners thread. I'll post more when I have a bit more time. Note: None of this is my work, but rather my notes of sorts and links to great info by greater people. The S4 Wiki is obviously the best place to start: S4 Wiki (http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning) My ultimate goal was to conquer evsup1 by modifying MSLUB, so here is everything I've found on the subject of Emissions Readies: Emissions Delete and Setting Actual Readiness (Nefmoto) (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=615.0) SLS 88.150 (Secondary Air Control) (http://www.nefariousmotorsports.com/wiki/index.php/SLS_88.150_(Secondary_Air_Control)) delete sai, real readiness passed (By our very own k0mpressed) (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/522684-delete-sai-real-readiness-passed-and-pass-nj-obd-inspection-testing) Real Passed Readiness (Nefmoto) (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=3314.0) Here are some other links that seemed to be the most informative to me: How to locate the values to disable DTCs (Nefmoto) (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,567.0title,.html) ECU Cross Compatibility (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=1511.msg14380#msg14380) The Basics of Creating an ECU File (Tunerpro) (http://www.tunerpro.net/tutorials/CreatingECUs.htm) Tuning DIYs: Ongoing DIY: Tuning Bosch ME7.5 for 1.8t (By: Createddeleted) (http://forums.triplezoom.com/showthread.php?5496661-Ongoing-DIY-Tuning-Bosch-ME7.5-for-1.8t) Introduction to Tuning (Dynamic EFI) (http://www.dynamicefi.com/Tune_Intro.php) Title: Re: Newbs Post by: hello on July 18, 2013, 07:39:29 PM Good write up.
