Title: CWKONLS = 17
Post by: terminator on August 14, 2013, 07:20:04 AM
Could anyone please confirm should I change CWKONLS to 17 (11 hex) on 1.8t?
Stock value is 3 (not 33 in hex) thats why I'm not sure about it.

What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to disable rear O2 lambda control

You are looking in the wrong place.

But according to S4 wiki and some threads, CWKONLS shoud be changed also.

Doing anything with CWKONLS will not stop any lambda control

The S4 wiki relates CWKONLS as rear lambda control.

The wiki refers you to this page listed below.

Ive read stock value is 3 and comes up as 3 on my stock 1.8T BAM 018CB file.

Yes, and if I am right in understanding its a code word for lambda probe. But what does 17 means? So maybe codewords for 2.7t and 1.8t are not the same?
Sorry for a maybe stupid questions, but I would like to know what I've done xD

The 1.8t and 2.7t coding for CWKONLS are different. 2.7 had two banks and 1.8 has 1.

Set/clear the proper bits for your setup and convert bin->dec. it's really simple with windows calculator.

Thanx for everybody, I got it.

First bit is precat O2, second is postcat. So for 1.8t I should change it from 3 to 1 if I dont need postcat probe.

Here is clear description, might be useful for others, found in FR of ME7.3, section APP GGLSH 3.30 Application hint
CWKONLS :
----------->
Code word in % PROKON :
Sensors present upstream of the catalyst --->
Bank1: B lsv by Bit 0 = 1
Bank2: B lsv2 by Bit 4 = 16
(gives 17 as the sum)

Sensors present downstream of the catalyst -->
Bank1: B lsh by bit 1 = 2
Bank2: B lsh2 by bit 5 = 32
(gives 34 as the sum)
For all 4 installed seensors: CWKONLS = 51

so what have you set a 1.8t to with the rear lambda removed?

Did you notice there are also some of the codewords and things beginnging with C were missing?   ive got about 2 or 3 missing when coding out the rear lambda on my BAM file with fully defined map pack

Set it to 1 dec
