Title: Ready for some more randomness?
Post by: jackson.amrol@gmail.com on August 24, 2013, 03:26:15 PM
Trying to recover this brick.... Bootmode, on the bench i can read. I can write the read file back 100% but it is junk so that doesn't help me much.

Try to write a good stock file and Galletto errors at 3% every time.

Try to write a modified file and Galletto errors at 6% every time.

So I suppose my question is what cause a failed write at specific times for each file, and any ideas?

MPPS has worked for me before under a similar situation when the bad file could be flashed in Galletto boot mode.

Other files failed write at 3% -7% depending on file chosen.

Flashed in MPPS, then flashed a good file in NEFMOTO without cycling the ECU first.

Next option after that is de-solder and chip programmer.

Or if you don't want to desolder, you could use something like this with a flash programmer:

Thank you guys I'll give that a shot.

Nefmoto fails to receive device Id response in bootmode.

When I run the read file with me7check I get a whole bunch of not ok, and file not recognized as ME7.

I'm looking into mpps now
