Title: Hello from WI.
Post by: SB_GLI on October 05, 2013, 07:12:35 AM
Hello all.  I came here to try to fix my half-tuned ecu from APR.  I have a 2003 allroad, and I am just looking to get this apr software running correctly.  After working with APR's tech support, I believe we have come to a dead end in an attempt to find a resolution.  I have a spare ecu for this allroad, but it comes from a 01, so I want to find out if I can use the 01 for tuning while keeping the other one as is.  I'm a senior computer programmer, I'm not claiming to be super smart or anything, but hopefully capable of doing some basic tuning and other ecu functions, and I hope I've come to the right place to learn it.  I also have two other VWs that I would like to apply this knowledge to.   8)

Welcome!

The 01 ecu will not work in the 03 I'm afraid, ecu must be ME7.1.1 from 2003-2005 audi a6 or allroad to work in your car :(

I read your thread, are you saying it's requesting 1500-1600mb? Is that absolute, or boost? If it's boost, that's 20psi.

Oh shucks on the 01 ecu.  yeah, that's absolute with 960 ambient, so we're talking 9-10psi:).  I'd be happy little boy if it was boost.  I have a lot of information to share, as I have been trying to figure this whole situation for a couple of months now.  I think i've listed most of what I know in the audiworld thread, but perhaps with less detail.
