Title: 12v vr6 vs. 24v vr6 ecu hardware differences
Post by: coreyj03 on October 12, 2013, 09:45:33 PM
i have only worked with 24v ecu's  recently and i cant remember  if i have opened up a 12v ecu box to see if the hardware is the same as 24v.

they are both me7.1.1 ,,

reason being is im looking to convert a 12v 021906018 flash into a 24v 022906032 flash

i know i can convert a vw mk4 2.0 ecu into 1.8t ecu with just a flash. wondering if the same is true for vr6 engines.?

Not possible.

12v ME7 is 512k
24v ME7 is 1024K

Processor ROM is different. not cross flashable.
