Title: AWE Staged Tunes
Post by: theaznal on October 14, 2013, 08:19:22 AM
Greetings,

I'm using TunerPro to look at a BIN file produced from a Stage3 GIAC tune.
There is a flash switcher with the car that toggles between the tunes: Race, Street, Stock and Valet modes.

The BIN file was produced using Nefmoto ME7 Flasher, the car in Race mode.
Switching to Street mode and reproducing the BIN file.... there doesn't appear to be any differences.
I ran them through the compare tool in TunerPro, and there are no changes between the files.

Does anyone know what's going on when I switch between tunes with the GIAC switcher?
IE how would one edit the Race tune vs Street tune when the maps appear the same....

thanks,
theaznal

You wouldn't. The maps are encrypted.

Hi,

I do appear to be able to read each of the maps visible from within TunerPro.
None of the data appears encrypted, the only mystery is for example:
which timing map am I looking at (Race vs Street) when I edit  KFZW & KFZWOP maps.

Ddillenger - I obtained this ECU directly from a GIAC tuner and was under
the impression it was encrypted.

The modified maps are fake.

Thanks Nyet... that closes that loop.

Everything you can see will appear factory and is no longer used. The real calibration is moved and encrypted. Any changes you make will have no effect.
