Title: strange kfmirl max values
Post by: dream3R on October 16, 2013, 04:55:49 AM
@#158A4, in the attached, the axis maxes at 60 which obviously limits kfmiop max values as well.

Has anyone seen this before?  I assume it's just a different way of skinning a cat but it doesn't look like any other vag ones I've seen.

The car is 2005 Volvo S60R 2.5L 300BHP and it made 330BHP and 530NM using those scales a few months back on another map.

Fast forward and I'm self mapping from scratch and am just trying to understand this oddity??

KFMIOP @ #156CC

I've logged miopt_w and it never exceeds 60!

Quite common in ME9 ECU's, calibration totally different to VAG.

Late ME7 is very similar to ME9.

So it seems, although this is supposed to be the ME7.01 platform  ???

Anyway, if it's the norm then I won't let it both me I just like to understand things.

You will see great variation across manufacturers on how they calibrate.

In this instance is 60 just like 100 and is just on a different scale?

You an have 60% torque being 200 load or 100% torque being 200% load -end result is the same apart from what the actual torque output over CAN is.  Just pay attention to the acis when tuning the various maps.
