Title: Turbo nut/fabricator new to ME7 tuning - MA/NH Post by: boostboostboost on October 26, 2013, 06:50:02 PM Pretty deep in the Audi scene in the New England area. I know a lot of crazy car people and I personally have completed some pretty crazy projects. I specialize in 2.7T & 2.2T Audi engine builds, but I can confidently say I've seen the best and worst of VAG products. I've built countless 2.7T Audi's and Personally converted an RS6 to Manual which is no simple task.
I currently drive an AAN swapped 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro, and a 2001 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T which I am currently learning ME7 tuning on. I'm having some trouble and will begin learning piece by piece, but Literally just signed onto NefMoto after a year or so of lurking without an account. I have experience with VEMS stand-alone engine management and have done some fiddling with it, but I am really here to learn about Load-based tuning on a "disposable" (read: 1.8T) engine that can be swapped in a weekend if I blow a rod through the block due to personal error. If anyone has experience with the "AUG" 1.8T engine code ECU (box # ending in BQ) and may potentially have a Stock turbo tune available, please let me know so I can read it and see the differences between the modified maps and the ones on the stock tune. I can post an ECU file soon, but not this weekend by any slim chance. Title: Re: Turbo nut/fabricator new to ME7 tuning - MA/NH Post by: Djpardy on October 28, 2013, 07:56:06 AM Hey I'm in NH too. Title: Re: Turbo nut/fabricator new to ME7 tuning - MA/NH Post by: jackson.amrol@gmail.com on October 28, 2013, 09:52:56 PM Mm nope, that was the 99 1.8t I was elbow deep in.. 01 aug engine code is ME7.5?..
Still though, don't drink (heavily) and open these things.. Delete your drivers, even the hidden devices. Connect your cable and install you're newly downloaded drivers when prompted Get in a routine of deleting the devices if you go to switch cables. It's like 3 (metaphorical) clicks before you disconnect your cable. Saves headaches/scratching. Verify connectivity with vcds.. Clean the multicolored leaves that fell in your car while your door was open, eat an entire apple crisp to celebrate success and Go from there.
