Title: Volvo S80 2,4T MAN -02 HW:0261207392 Post by: volvo245r on November 07, 2013, 01:43:37 PM Hello!
I have this major problem with my car. Something went wrong while reading the ECM and now the car won't start :'( Since I don't have any original file I don't know what to do. I would be very grateful if some nice soul out there could help me out with a original ECM file for this car. My girlfriend is very angry with me because I ruined our only car. ;) Thanks in advance! Best regards, Linus from Sweden Title: Re: Volvo S80 2,4T MAN -02 HW:0261207392 Post by: daniel2345 on November 07, 2013, 03:31:21 PM Whats with the file dream3R made you? Isnt it working?

Since that file is merged by two files I just wanted some backup plan if his file does not work (worst case scenario). ;)

It will be interesting to know if it works. The file matches the layout and the map section is in-tact in your file I think. The file matches the layout and the map section is in-tact in your file I think. I haven't got my new MPPS yet. I was hoping that it would come today, but unfortunately it didn't. :'( I will keep you guys updated on the progress and probably upload the working file to this forum. I also think your "modded" file will work. I have disassembled it with Ida pro and compared it to other files and it looks like you say that the map section is in-tact. I am very new within this subject, so I guess that this could be very helpful for me to learn and understand how the ECM really is working. I have a stupid question to you Volvo guys. Which software do you think is the best to find maps in the Volvos ME7? I have been reading very many threads and my conclusion is that WinOls is the best. I have been struggling to learn it this last week, but it's quite hard when I don't know what to look for. But i guess that time and practice is the way to go. If you have any tips or links for getting started with Winols and Volvo I would be very thankful :) Title: Re: Volvo S80 2,4T MAN -02 HW:0261207392 Post by: volvo245r on November 30, 2013, 02:38:39 AM Hello everyone!
I am very sorry for the late replay. I have now bought myself an eprom programmer and some new flash chips. I will try to flash some bin files this weekend en see how it goes. Yesterday I tried to upload one bin file from a S60 2,4t. Now VIDA with DICE can see the ECM in the network, but gives me the error message of faulty configuration. I have also ordered a socket for the PSOP so I won't damage the PCB when soldering/de-soldering the flash chip on and off, but it hasn't arrived yet :( Does any one now if it is possible to upload bin files over VIDA without subscription? For example by editing the database and "fool" VIDA to believe that previous purchases has been done and point to a BIN file? I will keep you updated on the progress. Thanks for all your help! Title: Re: Volvo S80 2,4T MAN -02 HW:0261207392 Post by: volvo245r on December 02, 2013, 09:26:13 AM So that file I did didn't work? Sadly it didn't. But I got the car running now with another map! The map is from a S60 2.0 T5 I believe. When i run it in Ida Pro I can read out B5204T. I didn't think it was going to work, just tried it for fun. Yesterday I drove 120 km and was logging some parameters with Vida, and nothing strange there! The boost pressure is higher as expected and there is a hole other character in the engine. But it is something wrong with my boost control valve. I think it has been since I bought the car, but with higher boost it becomes more clear. I can see in the log file that the boost is quite stable at low gears but when I am in fourth/fifth gear with wide open throttle the boost curve is like a triangle wave, and you can really feel it! Any way, no when I've got a nice socket and lots of new eproms i will try some other maps and try to figure out how the ECM handles the different maps. Here is the working map for those how are interested. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/16h3a57fv3rgpxl/mywKNp-dtj (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/16h3a57fv3rgpxl/mywKNp-dtj) Thank you guys for all of your help! |
