Title: Readiness table not found
Post by: technic on November 17, 2013, 08:24:10 AM
Hi,
Who can help me with the start address of the readiness table in this file (Audi TT)? I tried to correlate with M-Box file, but it just do not seem to line up.
I'm trying to pass readiness without SAI.

Location of MSLUB would we helpful aswell  :)

There is a whole block of maps that seems to be located elsewhere compared to the damos I have :(
In the damos it's located at 1A860.

Edit: Added picture

You didn't look too hard.

182CF MSLUB

14315 CDSLS
1431E CWKONABG

Thanks a lot. Are you sure about MSLUB? I was looking for an 8x1, 16 bit map, but on 182CF, by the looks of it, it seem to be 8-bit  :P

What are the factors then? 0,001563 and 0,000391 (X) would be true for 16 bit maps.

I use UBSLMX(N,MN) for disable SAI. Its pretty easy to find, though its 1x1. Have disabled it on 2.4, 3.0, 2.7t, 1.8t without any problem.

Yes, UBSLMX and ESCONF would to the trick.
In my damos UBSLMX it is right after MSLUB.

I zeroed 8 bytes starting from 182CF but still get "Secondary air system monitoring:  Failed or Incomplete"  :-\

You can check the file on your own risk  :) But everything should be ok. I've changed CWKONABG to 1, if you dont have cat, change it to 0.

Thanks terminator.  still get : "Secondary air system monitoring: Not installed." though. (Same with your file as with my latest test with CWKONABG and CDSLS cleared)

I was hoping for an "Installed / Passed" ???  There is something fishy here...

Really fishy, cause everything should be ok with my file.
What is P-code?

Hmmm... I'm running it on the bench, but with SAI relay "emulated" by an resistor on pin 66. When I come to think of it, it could be out of spec values from other inputs interfering.

But, I'd still expect a Pass or Failed, rather than "not installed". DTCs below:

17952 - Angle Sensor 1 for Throttle Actuator (G187)
            P1544 - 35-00 - Signal too Large
17580 - Angle Sensor 2 for Throttle Actuator (G188) Signal too Low
            P1172 - 35-00 -
16497 - Intake Air Temp. Sensor (G42)
            P0113 - 35-00 - Signal too High
16622 - Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31)
            P0238 - 35-00 - Signal too High
16502 - Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62)
            P0118 - 35-00 - Signal too High

CDSLS+CWKONABG=Not insalled

MSLUB=Passed, but only after the requisite amount of time. The tests with VCDS will just abort.

I'm not sure its problem with SAI.
Why do you need that emulation? I've never disabled SAI on TT, but I have done a lot of 1.8t 29f800 without any problem.

@terminator : I have not changed ESKONF, thus the ECU expects J299/N112 to be connected.
@ddillenger : Ok, that explains it. Can you confirm the MSLUB is and eight bit map? Or is it 4x1 , 16 bit on that location?

8 bit map!

I've never changed ESKONF and everything works fine. Pretty sure your problem is not SAI.

The only time you would need ESKONF is if you unplug the SAI relay.

Exactly. And didn't change ESKONF, so I used a resistor to trick it. Not that it really matters on the bench ;)

Thanks for helping me out, both of you  :)

I'm trying to take this a step further and remove some more SAI related hardware.

I have been looking for AA FF 00 30 33 F8 30 (or parts there of). It's easily located in my me7 damos right before KFKHFM, but again I cannot find it in the 8N0906018AE. Since these are bit switches, I have looked for "variants" also. AA FF I have assumed is valid - four ignition coils and 4 NC.

ddillenger will probably yell at me because I didn't look hard enough 8) but please, give me a hint at least.

Hint:

Narrowband starts with FF FF 00

Now we are talking. Thanks ;)

MSLUB=Passed, but only after the requisite amount of time. The tests with VCDS will just abort.

What timeframe and prerequisites are we talking about here? I did test with _only_ MSLUB=0 and got OBDII Readiness Passed (And VCDS Passed) when first checking after a week or so.
Then I was doing some other test that had nothing to do with SAI. During those tests SAI was enabled (MSLUB = stock)

When I put the software with MSLUB=0 back, it don't show readiness passed, even after a one hour drive.  ???

Edit : Drive one hour today, and 15 minutes yesterday.

Now readiness is set again. I guess I didn't allow it to idle when cold long enough.

You can set it manually as well, but the test might abort a few times before it passes.

Otherwise, a few cold start cycles where the SAI pump would be expected to run is all it takes.
