Title: RB8 Lit Needles & MTE Post by: adam- on November 24, 2013, 04:52:22 PM Hi thur,
I've been trying to do this for a while, managed to get Vag-Commander working and pulled the EEPROM off the clocks. Changed the necessary bit on the bin and re-flashed. Buuttttt, the needles AND backlight are on when the ignition goes on, but only very, very faintly. Turning lights on puts them on as normal. MTE works fine, but the backlight obviously shouldn't be on. Changed 0x0381 to 0B from 00. According to the internets: 0x0381=00 rkm aus Licht aus 0x0381=02 rkm an 0x0381=0b rkm und Licht an But, I can't read German. Does anyone know how to get Lit Needles (without the backlight being on faint WITH the needles). BIN is attached for anyone that cares. :) Thanking you. The links you've posted are all for the VDO clocks and the EEPROM is different lengths - because the manufacturers are different. Thanks for the links, but I've trolled through UK-MKIV's for hours, I'm a member there. :) Title: Re: RB8 Lit Needles & MTE Post by: MK2-VRT on November 26, 2013, 04:54:39 AM According to the internets:
0x0381=00 rkm aus Licht aus > MTE and Lights disabled 0x0381=02 rkm an > MTE Enabled 0x0381=0b rkm und Licht an > MTE and Lights Enabled By RB8 tacho in a Golf 4 is it not possible to do this, i try many times, Also by immo 2, you can only activate it by immo 3 / VDO.. I've got MTE working though, it's just the funny backlight that's annoying! It's like it's backlight and needles, like you can do in the VDO ones too! (almost like the bit is wrong!) |
