First, you going to want to read flash to download and backup your binary file. Then, if you have a tuned file to flash you will want to write flash. If you are flashing in the car, ensure that you have enough power. I either hook up jumper cables to my other car, or, if I am at the garage, I hook up a charger. Also, if you are flashing a tuned file, make sure your checksums are corrected before flashing. I use setzi's ME7check everytime before flashing to make sure.

This is a pain because it'll flash fine but then ODB2 flashing wont work. It would be nice if only known BIN files were posted otherwise the forum could get flooded with bricked ECU victims. I can read ECU but I need an layout file Post by: Rated S on April 28, 2011, 01:35:51 PM Should ban the uploading of .bin files in the forum(sans legitimate files), and perhaps make another section explicitly for posting 'what's wrong with this .bin' threads and allowing uploads in them, stating to not openly use these on their cars.
