Title: Need to change in the ECU software when using FSI coils? Post by: Terror_Flynn on December 04, 2013, 08:36:56 AM Hi!
If I want to run the engine with the better FSI coil-on-plugs, do I need to change something in the ECU software? Title: Re: Need to change in the ECU software when using FSI coils? Post by: adam- on December 04, 2013, 09:08:03 AM The dwell times ideally.

All that because I have the AWT engine that already have the right connectors and all that, right? Title: Re: Need to change in the ECU software when using FSI coils? Post by: coreyj03 on January 23, 2014, 11:59:04 AM you can use the 2.0t coils with no mods to ecu software they run just fine.

Loads of people just bang them in, but why would an ECU running these have different times to that of one that doesn't? Change them if you want, I have. There's an excel file that helps choo.. Yes what is the part number for the 2.0 coils? My friend just did the 3.0L Coil Swap and ICM Delete on his S4 so some wiring mods where required if you don't want to purchase fancy cable/harness. Now the coils he got where $20 each at Napa Auto Parts which I have verified they have them. Now Is there dwell time differences with the 3.0L coils? If so what should it be? |
