Title: Weird immo behavior
Post by: cybertronics on December 15, 2013, 02:02:36 AM
Hey guys i'm new here. I did a little diggin around and it seems to be i'll be here more  ;D but i really need help.

i hava a 99 akl golf. 3 yrs ago my immo activated somehow and i towed my car to a local garage and did a immo off. 3 years it worked perfect but now i have the same problem again. And now my car stops after 1 sec of run.

When i try to start with original key with immo coil no immo light on the dash
if i try with aftermarket key without coil , immo light flashes but in both cases car runs and stops after 1 sec.

Where do i have to look. Show me a way :)

I was a real rookie 3 years ago and i really dont know what local garade did to make immo of. I now have a kkl and tacho cable but still not a pro and my knowledge couldnt solve my problem. Sorry for my bad english.

Use ArgDubs tool and dump the e2p eeprom from the ECU and post it here.
Its called ME7EEPROM there is a sticky and a million pages of info on it.

We will take a look and see what was done.

Here is the result;

I tried to dump eeprom with ArgDubs but failed. (but i can do a scan etc.) Finally i removed the ecu to look inside of the box and voila! 93c56 fall when i open cover of the box. Probably eprom had a repair before because pcb's eprom solder points are also demaged (not recoverable) So i need a new ecu and please give me some advice. Do i have to buy exactly same PN ECU or do i have any other choices like 06A906019 , E , BQ etc.

An here how it looks
