Title: APR ECU and Cluster swap into another S4 with stock ECU and bad cluster Post by: dcc236 on December 29, 2013, 08:06:14 PM I have two 2000 Audi b5 s4's. Does anyone here know if a guide or instructions on how to swap an ecu and cluster from one car to the other? One ecu is apr stage 1 and the other is stock. Also, if this is possible with the keys and immobiliser all syncing up, is it then possible to update the mileage on each cluster to reflect the actual?

Just get the cluster coding right, vag commader for mileage, and you're done. Just get the cluster coding right, vag commader for mileage, and you're done. You forget, not all S4's are in North America.... OP: If you live in Europe, or the rest of the world, swap the gauges, cluster, and the small pill inside the key into the other car. This can all be done via software, but that wasn't what you asked. I know Dave personally he is just trying to find an easy way to keep his Giac tune and also move the working cluster (working pixels) from his car into the new one he just purchased and set the kms correctly for each car. I have not played with vag commander before so can't comment on that part. Oh, and yes these cars are D-box and have immo Title: Re: APR ECU and Cluster swap into another S4 with stock ECU and bad cluster Post by: dcc236 on January 15, 2014, 12:15:32 AM Thanks fellas, the change over was as easy as you suggested. A special thanks to ddillenger for his guidance and advice.
Now to work out how to get each car to show the correct mileage. Check out the "Bench Flashing/VCDS cable for cluster (B5S4)" sticky in the cluster/immobilizer section. The tools you need to correct the mileage are attached.
