Title: 06a906032 HS Bricked? Help
Post by: brokenvespa on January 05, 2014, 12:48:48 PM
I have successfully pulled the file ith nefmoto and myt vcds cable. Loaded file and definition file into tunerpro.
Set CDSLS - Eurobyte (self explanatory)
      CLASLVE - Plug
CLASLPE - Pump plug  To zero to delete SAI. I did not correct check sums. I did need to do that for these corect?
Flashed the file back to my ecu. Car started once and ran for awhile. Turned car off. Now car wont start and I am unable to get into ecu with nefmoto or VCDS. Swapped ecu wih another just to make sure it is an ecu issue.  New ecu reads fine. Reinstalled old ecu and I can now communicate with VCDS. Tried to get back in with Nefmoto and it is reporting a security issue. Is referring to the immoblizer? I kinda remember reading somewhere here that nefmoto does not like it when immoblizer is on. Is this correct?
can I immo off my 95040 chip ( I can do this successfully) and flash the original file or a check sum corected file or do I need a cable to use galletto software to recover? If I unplug the ecu for a miniute or so and plug back in I can get into the ecu with VCDS once until I try to start car the nothing. Help?
Thank you

Hi
Yeah you should check the checksums anytime you alter your tune.
My advice would be to use a MPPS V12 and re flash the ECU. This should bypass the security and get you back up and running.

No need for MPPS. Just disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, then connect with nefmoto and reflash a file with proper checksums.

Yea,  halfway through the flash I realized I did not do anything with the check sum. I know better. Does anyone have a freeware solution that I can use my vcds cable with?

you can post your file in "Checksum update request" forum
and someone helps you

or get MTX Electronics checksum plugin for TunerPro ( $10 )

ok , when ecu is unplugged for a bit Nefmoto will try to connect but gettng error message that ecu prerequisites not met. Immoblizer not matched .Should I immo off this ecu then try again? mY soldering station and chip burner are at work and I was hoping to not have to open up ecu or bench flash since I have not built a bench harness yet.

You have to flash in car. If you don't, you have to immo-off. If you're going to bootmode to immo off (using argdubs tool) you might as well just bootmode flash a good file with galletto.

I do want to flash in the car. My problem at hand is with getting Nefmoto to flash then. It is not happy with my immoblizer.
Any suggestions ? Im using 29F800 memory layout. First time I did this, It read and wrote perfect.

Brokenvespa,

Did you ever get anywhere with this, I have had the exact same issue as yourself today on my ME7.5 06A906032DR where I cannot access the ECU anymore after a successful map and the car won't start!

Had the same issue bootmode immo off the 95040 then bootmode the correct checksumed file should be fine. If you need your files checksumed I can give you the direct download link for winols that has me7 checksum plug in for free. I also have a bad ass 032hs file with full deletes that I have worked on now for a while Id be happy to let you run.

I have not worked on this problem yet. I did Immo off the ecu and I was still getting the same error. I have another ecu and just have not made the time to get into the ecu with galletto. I wanted to build a bench harnes, just need to get some sort of power supply. I will post results when I figure it out.
