Title: Galletto Serial # Conversion
Post by: jaymk89 on January 18, 2014, 10:41:37 AM
Hi all,

I have searched through the forums and google (I know I've seen this somewhere but I've spent the past hour trying to find it) on how to convert a FTDI serial number for use in Hex to assign my cable to the Galletto.exe (NEW_SERIAL.EXE)

A602TXQ8 is the serial number, and using tools online it comes out with a hex of 16-digits long? While in NEW_SERIAL.EXE the original is only 8? This is what comes out: 41 36 30 32 54 58 51 38, is this correct?

Jay

I dont' know what NEW_SERIAL.EXE is.

I just hand edit the galletto executable with a hex editor. done.

NEW_SERIAL.EXE is the exe file for Galletto 1260 software I have downloaded, reason for the thread is I was unsure as to if the conversion was correct.

Mods - can you please delete this thread, I trial and error'd it in Hexeditor and all is fine so far.

In the last page of the "Galletto edited with proper English" sticky there is a post that explains how to remove all serial requirements. I have tested it, it works. Just do that.

Thanks ddillenger, sorry if I am making threads up when I shouldn't be... Please delete this one if you see fit and I'll take you're advise on the "Galletto edited with proper English" thread, I knew I saw it on here somewhere but obviously didn't look hard enough.
