Title: MIL
Post by: terminator on January 24, 2014, 10:25:56 AM
As I know all US cars have check engine light, but the most of EU cars dont.
Though EU has check engine lamp inside dash. Could anyone please tell me how to activate this lamp? I suppose it can be coded into "instrument" via VCDS or its a codeword into ECU flash, but I'm not sure.

You can run 8E0909518AK without a problem, the calibration is the same. The only difference I see is the CDLDP and some changes to the ODB protocols.

In any event, try this. It's your file with a few small changes.

I have no chance to check your file yet, but my US car has MIL lamp, so I just change 03 03 prokanal to 05 00 (like into 518BA file without MIL), but MIL still lights on.
I think it can be coded into Instrument via VCDS... Will see...
Thanx anyway!

Flash a US file, or try mine. There are 3 changes.
