Title: G-box bin on D-box car
Post by: armageddon on March 10, 2014, 04:21:34 PM
Hi, I plan to run my G-box bin on a S4 with D-box ECU

This is what I changed:

MAF:

  MLOFS  0.00 kg/h  to 200.00 kg/h
  KFKHFM with D-box values
  MLHFM with D-box values

Rear O2:

 CDKAT = 0.00
 CWDLSAHK = 0.00
 CDHSHE = 0.00
 CDHSH = 0.00
 CDLATV =  0.00
 CDLASH = 0.00
 CDLSHV = 0.00
 CDLSH = 0.00
 CWKONLS = 1.00* after correction = 17.00
 CLRHK = 73.00

ESKONF  0x10c87 from F3 to FF

Is this correct?
Am I missing something?

best regards

First try crossflashing and see if it even boots.

You cannot set CWKONLS to 1. You will have malfunction codes. 1=single precat o2 sensor! 17=dual precat o2 sensors.

and it will only trim one bank

I read s4wiki again and now I understand that. language could be a barrier sometimes

assuming that I can crossflash G-box to D-box those steps (maf convertion and rear o2 delete) will be enough?

Yes, but you must make sure the addresses are correct. They are not the same as what is in the wiki.

I use a G-box xdf from nyet page, and for ESKNOF have seen a post over here how to locate it and find out that start at 0x10c81. Then I change byte 6 (0x10c87) from F3 to FF.

I will give it a try and let you guys know

thanks

Update

My friend received ECU today and he is having this fault codes:

18058 powertrain data bus
p1850 35 00 missing message from instrument cluser
17530 oxygem(lambda) sensor heating b2 s2
p1122 35 00 open circuit

For 18058 I think he have to change channel 60 to 0, and what about 17530? I think I remove them correctly  ???

edit: also, idle is a litle rough

So, changing channel 60 didn't solve "18058 - Powertrain Data Bus", I am assuming that I need to change CW_CAN_R from 36 to 4 as softcoding is 05711(euro3/esp)

For Rear O2 I only changed ESKONF[6], do I need to change ESKONF[5] too?

I tryed on my car(original G-box) disconected rear O2 and I'm getting the same error: 17530 oxygem(lambda) sensor heating b2 s2
p1122 35 00 open circuit

I followed every steps on wiki and also change ESKNOF[5] from 00 to 0C, didn't do it before, but I cannot get rid of that fault code.

Any ideas?

Thanks, that works (as you already know :) )

I was looking at it again and I notice that I made a mistake, I change 00 to 0C instead of C0  :-[

Another silly question, should I put C0 or CC, as the original is 00?
