Title: Throttle Response
Post by: Tony@NefMoto on September 28, 2009, 08:38:52 PM
Here are the maps and values I have mentioned recently in some other forums. Currently these are the only values I can recall controlling throttle response. I haven't tried tuning these values yet, but I have gone through most of the assembler code accessing them.

TWDKSV - 6x1 - 16 bit axis, 16 bit values - Throttle Valve Interpolation Rate - Higher values make the throttle valve achieve the target position faster. The OLS files list this value as being in seconds, but that is wrong. I haven't had time to track down the value used to index into this map.

ZKDRLSOL - 1x1 - 16 bit value - Specified Load Interpolation Rate - Higher values make the specified load value achive the target position faster. The OLS files list this value as being in seconds, but that is wrong.

KFPED - 12x16 -16 bit values, 16 bit axis - Driver Requested Power

KFPEDR - 8x16 - 16 bit values, 16 bit axis - Driver Requested Power in Reverse

I don't have these maps in any of my notes. Could you please post the locations?

H-Box locations, M-box locations are generally very close

KFPED-15eca
KFPEDR-1607e

Ill have to look for the other two when I have time.

Yes, the other two are what I don't have :/

looking for this map but cant find it. values from a labeled file i have are:

axis: 7333   77B3 799A   7EB8   8000   828F
map: FFFF   2492   199A   0D79   0BA3   0AAB

can someone help me locate it in my file?

edit: i think i found it at 13d8a. the axis values match up very similar with the values from the file i posted. the map not so much though. so i could be wrong. but when i highlighted it and did selection > map, winols automatically identified it as a bosch 16 map and highlighted the axis values. so its definitely some sort of map.

axis: 7333 75C3 7852 7AE1 8000 999A
map: FFFF 5555 5555 3333 2492 5555

Could someone tell me more about TWDKSV map? What type of units x axis has and what factor/offset to use?

Hi guys, I'm a long time learker but this is my first post. I'm looking to improve throttle pedal response on my dedicated autocross Audi TT. Anymore info on this? The brief research I've done seems to suggest that only "KFPED" needs to be tweaked and maybe adjustments of "KFMIRL" to reflect the changes made to "KFPED". According to this thread "TWDKSV" (if the definition is correct) would also have and impact on overall pedal response. Please school me!

Just checked FR and ZKDRLSOL appears only in ZUESZ for coil control. Can someone confirm this map REALLY affects speed of throttle plate angle?

Also TWDKSV in 4B...DC file is disabled by default (CWFUEDK.6 = 0). How about other files?

Why would you want to raise speed of plate rotation? Have you ever seen a plate move?

What I meant was throttle response
