Title: Tuning KLAF for big turbo setups
Post by: catbed on April 09, 2014, 06:14:17 PM
Does KLAF need to be changed for big turbo 1.8t setups? I think so considering output is much different from k03s, but have not found much info searching except for a few mentions of it. No concrete info really.

I'd like to understand before I go about changing things unnecessarily.

With my poor knowleadge i think KLAF is an Alpha-n map so you have to tune when you go mafless.

There are side benefits to getting KLAF right, even if you are running a MAF... for example, if your MAF goes tits up while you are driving around :)

I understand KLAF is a big part of MAFless, but isn't it also used for target throttle calculation? I'm not at my computer so I can't post part of the FR where it goes over this.

EDIT: It seems I was thinking about calculated mass flow at throttle plate. So am I right in assuming KLAF is specific to throttle bodies?

Anyone else have any input on KLAF?
