Title: 2004 1.8t AWM
Post by: B61.8tune on May 10, 2014, 04:14:21 PM
I'm very new to tuning and have been reading alot.  I pulled up some hex scripts but couldn't get this reading to open in any sort of map.  Maybe I didn't save it correctly.  I am also looking for a lightly moded file to compare with my original.
   Any help would be great.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Personally, I use the other version of 518AK. I have attached it, as well as my last XDF prior to switching over to winOLS. It is enough for a stage1/2 file and then some, although it is not all correct. Use the bin attached in your car, as that is the version the xdf works with.

Welcome, and good luck.

I want to learn how to create my own tunes and keep from spending $500+ on those pro tunes.
Is everyone reading their tunes using a hex editor?  I see WinOls has a map but I'm not sure how to read that either.   Just wondering if I need to learn this or if there's another way.
Thanks for the help.   This is by far the most helpful website I have come across.
