Title: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 13, 2014, 05:12:16 AM hey guys after doing some more reading I think i've finally found out why my car wont boost past stock levels regardless of having increased ldrxn kfmiop and kfmirl and sever other maps. i've noticed that my kfmiop x axis jumps from 120 to 199 to 160 at the end. can someone check out the attached pic and tell me if this is ok.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: phila_dot on May 13, 2014, 05:34:31 AM Make sure that your definition is correct.
I'm pretty sure that the only consequence of that would be that last column would never get used. Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: nyet on May 13, 2014, 10:08:56 AM That definition is definitely wrong. Also, you shouldn't have to modify IOP, unless you are planning on changing the axis (in which case you just need to re-interpolate/extrapolate the stock IOP values)

Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 13, 2014, 06:56:17 PM can someone please help me to fix the axis? Sure. It's located at 3. Seriously, how would anyone do that without the file :( Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 08:00:50 AM haha youre right sorry. files have been attached.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 08:06:32 AM i also noticed that kfldimx goes up to only 1100mbar. is this right?
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 08:10:11 AM by the way im more than willing to paypal someone $ if they can help me get the tune right. I read sites and books for numerous hours and still cant get my car to boost over 10lbs. i've increased all the maps that control boost and still nothing as well as the torque intervention ones.

Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 14, 2014, 09:33:25 AM KFMIOP load axis 16AD2
Yes, DIMX axis is to 1100. Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 10:32:00 AM I checked the load axis and it already begins at 16ad2, but i dont understand why the axis is screwed up.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 14, 2014, 10:44:44 AM IDK what size your map is.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 11:57:27 AM does this help?
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 14, 2014, 12:03:49 PM No. Post a photo of the first screen of your map. 12x16, address, etc.

Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 12:29:36 PM it seems like its requesting enough boost but actual is no where near. specified boost is requested boost right?
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 14, 2014, 12:36:23 PM it seems like its requesting enough boost but actual is no where near. specified boost is requested boost right? That file has a mistake in the axis. I am 99 percent sure that the axis should be 100 120 140 160 And that the 190 is an error. Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 01:03:30 PM ok so a friend gave me an xdf that works with this ecu and it seems like kfmiop is right. attached are the bin and the xdf. i flashed it on and still cant get past 8 or 9psi. i checked for leaks and nothing.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 01:17:59 PM ok guys so i went ahead and disconnected the hose from the wastegate and im not even spiking 20psi so i think my wastegate might be stuck open. what do you guys think?
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: nyet on May 14, 2014, 01:38:52 PM Yes. Wastegate issues.
BTW does ME7Logger work on this car? Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: nyet on May 14, 2014, 01:41:00 PM Also, when logging, try to get a full pull from low rpm (2500) to redline, WOT.
Then you can use ECUxPlot and the filter will actually work. Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: cjd191 on May 14, 2014, 02:13:40 PM is there someway to test the wastegate to make sure thats the problem? oh and i was logging with my friends rosstech cable. will order kkl cable today to do some logging with ecux.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: nyet on May 14, 2014, 05:13:14 PM you can log with rosstech cable with "boot in smart mode" unchecked
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 14, 2014, 05:16:13 PM There is an error in that file. I am positive.
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: userpike on May 14, 2014, 09:27:35 PM There is an error in that file. I am positive. afaik the axis should be maxed at 160 from stock file, could the factor, offset be off on either the map or that axis? ..or someones bad try at re-scaling the axis? Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: userpike on May 14, 2014, 09:32:45 PM What will FMIVL do for us being that it is a factor for full load only? So the last load row in KFMIOP. On my file the factor value is 1.0
Title: Re: KFMIOP Limits Post by: ddillenger on May 14, 2014, 09:32:57 PM No. In his file it's
