Title: 2002 A6 2.7T 6 speed Ak-box help Post by: Wfbeast70 on May 13, 2014, 06:50:50 PM I have been searching on this website for quite some time before I decided that I wanted to try this route over driving/finding a shop that can install an APR/GIAC chip on my 2002 A6 2.7t 6sp. Now that I have decided to go this route I have a few questions. What XDF file do I use? My ECU is an AK-box, will an M-box XDF file work? I have decided to go with a tune that I have seen on here as a "base stage 1" tune and will log and tweak accordingly, but I have read that not having the right definition file can cause the maps to be off and cause a no start.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. P.S. I have my blue cable and laptop up and running and the car is mechanically sound with APR y-pipe upgraded diverter valves and I have a weekend project lined up to take car of the DIY piggies. I suggest a bit of reading as this has been covered ')

I suggest a bit of reading as this has been covered ') I have been reading through the S4Wiki and have been working on a tune based off the Jfonz stage 1 tune, a stock tune and the Stage II VR tune that is posted on the site. I have "finished" creating the tune. I have used the Checksum tools provided and see no errors on my end. I would greatly appreciate having some of the members here look over the tune and see if everything looks good for: 1. A tune that is going to start my car 2. A mild stage 1 tune that is smooth in daily driving 3. the tune does not have any glaring holes that can be caught before I flash in the car. Car is a 2002 A6 2.7t 6sp. Hitachi MAF. Currently running the Jfonz beginner tune that is on the site. Noticed the hesitation and wanted to fix it immediately. Thanks. This is my first attempt at doing this so I would just like to know I converted the file correctly (L-box to M-box) and I made sure that this was for a Hitachi MAF.
Thank you. |
