Title: 18258/P1850 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ECU 2.7 swap b6 a4
Post by: Focal on May 17, 2014, 08:15:17 PM
2002 a4 2.7t car runs very smooth but trying to get rid of this error scanned on the "ABS/ESP channel 18258/P1850 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ECU " i have a feeling this has to do with a wire on the RED b5 s4 plug a green/brown wire that traces to pin 74 on b5 s4 ECU i think i read something once that said that should go to j104 (abs module) i was wondering what you guys think

Is the ecu coded for ABS/ESP? 06711, or 06611?

06711, Im just wondering where in the b5 s4 does the green/brown wire goes on the b5 s4, im pretty sure it goes directly to the j104 ABS, i dont own a b5 so i cant confirm myself

ok so theres a red plug under the kick panel that had the same green/brown wire, i connected it to the b5 s4 ECU pin 74 and tried clear code for the 50th time, only this time it worked, i dont remember exactly but i think something with my abs coding changed automatically, and even without this wire connected the code seems to be gone, is this possible or make any sense?
