i want to log my cars data(Audi a4 b5 1.6) and show them on a tiny display. Whats the easiest way to do that? It has to run on linux, because i wanna put it on my RaspberryPi, so i can view the data on the display while im driving. Maybe somone can give me a hint. Thanks and regards, cronic Title: Re: KWP1281 - Linux Post by: userpike on May 26, 2014, 08:03:10 AM Hello, i want to log my cars data(Audi a4 b5 1.6) and show them on a tiny display. Thanks and regards, cronic I think ME7logger will run on linux with the proper version available in the stickied thread in the logging section of this forum. FTDI native mode is supported using libftdi1 and libusb1, both are already included in many Linux distributions. libftdi1: http://www.intra2net.com/en/developer/libftdi libusb1: http://www.libusb.org/wiki/libusb-1.0 Title: Re: KWP1281 - Linux Post by: cronic on May 29, 2014, 04:24:03 AM Hello , and thanks for reply.
I thought i need the Image of the ECU to log data with ME7? Cause the A4 B5 is using KWP protocol, isnt that true? Title: Re: KWP1281 - Linux Post by: prj on May 29, 2014, 04:03:32 PM 1.6 is siemens.
Title: Re: KWP1281 - Linux Post by: cronic on May 30, 2014, 08:50:40 AM Yes, its Siemens. Do you have an image for this?!
Title: Re: KWP1281 - Linux Post by: prj on May 30, 2014, 11:36:57 AM ME7Logger works only on Bosch ME7 (duh).
For your Siemens you will need a KWP1281 implementation. Personally I think it's a giant waste of time on the 1.6 engine. Buy something with a decent engine first :P |
