You can find this info looking around here, from our great friends of Nefmoto:

Check it out.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Ive seen that in the document below, and to me it seemed like it contradicts itself. It says only calculate the checksums if A0 is in 000 and 040. Also says if A0 is in 000 and 060/070 then you don't calculate checksums, you just change to 9E. Am I not understanding this correctly?

I compile this document too, but it is an error. I tested it some times and I confirm that you need to calc checksumm to avoid "Eeprom Error" DTC in the future. Immo OFF will work but with a DTC.

Ok, thankyou. Also another question. I have desoldered the chip to read/write it. Before, Ive tried to read it while on the board using a test clip. Can't get anything. Do you know if theres a way of doing it without removing chip?
Thanks

I have tryied several ideas but with mixed results. Some ECUs are easier to read with a clip and others like 06A906018CG doesn't want at all. I need to try some other ideas, like processor´s xtal circuit short.... etc, but right now the best way to desolder/solder.
Check this ideas:

I know that something a serial eeprom reader like ArgDub´s tool is doable, but I doesn't have too much time to try doing it. Also I doesn't do a program since University....  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
