Title: me3.8.3 injector scaling
Post by: Dropout on July 25, 2014, 11:38:30 PM
Hi, for I few days I've been researching injector scaling for the me3.8.3 but I'm still a little confused as to how exactly it's done. While searching I saw that some people say scale FGAT0 (grundanpassungsfaktor), others say KHFM (grundanpassungskonstante). On my setup I've currently swapped to 380cc/min injectors and have scaled FGAT0 as follows 260/380*1.001(FGAT0) = 0.6849 (0.6875 in winols), is this correct ? What got me wondering is that when I compare loads before/after the injector scaling they don't mach up excatly, before load at idle was ~0.9ms with ~2.60 g/s now load is ~ 0.70ms with ~1.95g/s . Logging AFR (plx wide band) , idle and part throttle are ~14.7, but full load is a bit rich high to mid 10s . Also idle mixture adaptation is very high ~20%. This got me thinking if I'm changing the right constant/factor, maybe when scaling the injectors both FGAT0 and KHFM must be scaled ?

P.S. The car (150 AGU) currently is running the stock MAF and is not hitting the MAF or  12.75ms limit, max load is ~10.7ms. I want to clear the injector issue before I go about scaling the MAF and upping the boost .

Thanks in advance

Did some testing today i.e. scaling both constant and factor individually and together. From the tests I can conclude that the best way to scale the injectors is by only scaling FGAT0 (grundanpassungsfaktor)  .

Hi friend from my understanding KHFM relates MAF and Injectors, it is the constant of a formula. It alters Load & Fuel in whole related Maps. FGAT0 is a pure multiplicative factor and just alter base fuel injection & basic fuel related maps (pre-factors).

Exactly,  FGAT0 affects only fueling, KHFM affects load and fuel .
